OUR history dates back to 1862 A.D., which was the first year of EmperorTongzhi's reign in the Qing dynasty. The restaurant operators, Zhengping Zhu and Renxing Cai, made a partnership then to run a new restaurant with the name of “Zhengxing Restaurant”. However, as too many restaurants adopted this name, they changed it to "Lao Zhengxing" (It means “Original Zhengxing”, and it's “ Old Shanghai Deluxe” in English).
FOR more than a hundred years, the Old Shanghai Deluxe has been famous for its flavors of South of Yangzi River, especially the Shanghai Dishes. The Old Shanghai Deluxe's dishes change seasonally with fishes in spring, shrimps in summer, crabs in autumn and herring dishes in winter.
THE Old Shanghai Deluxe, located in New York Chinatown, has prepared great Chinese food for you, come and try it!
